Seida Beganović

Field: Social Sciences and Humanities
Seida Beganović is a philosopher by education, with professional experience as a philosophy professor, journalist, and sociologist. Today, she is an established writer and the author of ten books of poetry and prose, recognized as works of high artistic value. She is the founder and head of the arts and culture association “Izraz,” which advocates for the inclusion of minority communities through art, the promotion of young authors from the region, and the development of non-formal educational programs dedicated to the mother tongue, literary history and theory, as well as the humanities.

“Mentorship is important to me because it emerged from the need to overcome the lack of education in one’s mother tongue. Over time, activities—ranging from group work and educational workshops to book donations—have become focused on working with talented individuals. The mentoring process is a two-way learning experience and a discovery of opportunities that benefit the entire community.”
