Vlora Rechica

Vlora Rechica is an advisor to the regional director of the Open Society Foundations – Western Balkans. She works closely with the director for the Western Balkans, assisting in daily operations and supporting the development and implementation of strategic and operational projects for his initiatives. As a program analyst, she contributes to shaping OSF-WB’s strategic interventions in the region and beyond.

With experience in research and leadership roles, she previously served as the head of the Center for Parliamentary Support and Democratization at the Institute for Democracy in Skopje, North Macedonia, a renowned think tank specializing in good governance, democratization, and European integration. As a co-founder of Stella, Vlora is dedicated to empowering girls and women in their educational and professional journeys, which is the main driver of her activism. Prior to her current position, Vlora worked as a Schuman trainee in the Secretariat of the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the European Parliament, where she contributed to initiatives concerning the Western Balkans.

She holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Politics with a specialization in Democracy and Democratization from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
