About Us

Stella Network is a civil society organization whose mission is to inspire, empower, and connect girls and women by improving access to education, entrepreneurship opportunities, and social change. Initiated by a group of female enthusiasts dedicated to enhancing access to higher education and economic empowerment for women and girls in North Macedonia, Stella connects women and works to create networks of solidarity, knowledge, and experience.

Founded in 2016 and formally registered in 2018, the Stella community today includes more than 250 mentors and 170 mentees (program participants) from diverse backgrounds. To date, it has mentored more than 1,000 girls within formal education across high schools throughout North Macedonia.

What sets Stella apart is its unique, intersectional approach to mentorship and advocacy, ensuring that women of all ages, ethnicities, and professions receive the support they need to succeed.

Through both online and in-person mentoring sessions conducted in English, Albanian, and Macedonian, Stella fosters cross-cultural exchange that transcends borders and barriers.

Stella Network also actively opposes digital gender-based violence through creative advocacy, community mobilization, and policy influence, encouraging women and marginalized groups to take action.
